Dear Colleagues, Greetings!! Fall is here and summer is officially over. The football games are in full gear, the marching bands are blasting away and music is everywhere. It is wonderful to have music to inspire us, settle our nerves or just to keep us going. We feel the excitement of a new year underway in the piano lessons, instrument lessons and vocal lessons. The kids entering our classrooms and music studios are keyed up with eagerness for a great musical experience with us. Likewise, we await with joyful anticipation the satisfaction that this musical growth brings. One of my teaching goals for the year is to have my students recognize just how much music brings to their lives. As you and I know and understand just how rich and full our lives are because of the music, it is necessary to keep ourselves updated to the 'happenings in the music world.' Please remember to avail yourself of the workshops, seminars and classes that stimulate and focus you as a professional. You will find many listings at the MENC, NYSSMA and WCSMA websites, our WCSMA Newsletter, your school district teacher centers
